Public agencies, private companies and non-profit organizations may apply directly for the awards on the EPA website. More information about eligibility and the official application form are available there.
Award winners will be featured in a short video documentary about their project, and honored at an awards ceremony in Washington DC in December 2013.
Communities all over the United States are using smart growth strategies to protect the environment and strengthen their economies and the EPA’s National Awards for Smart Growth Achievement honor projects that are leading the way. If you know of a great project that deserves recognition, send them an invitation to apply.
