We’re excited to introduce some of the leading real estate executives who will be featured speakers at the 2015 LOCUS National Leadership Summit: Private Sector Solutions to the Affordability and Social Equity Crisis.
Our popular R.E.A.L. Talks (Real Estate Advocacy and Leadership Talks) feature the best minds in the public and private sector sharing innovative ideas and new approaches to walkable, sustainable real estate development. This year, our R.E.A.L. Talks speakers will focus on how to improve your company’s social and environmental bottom lines while increasing financial profits:

As President & CEO of JAIR LYNCH Development Partners, Jair Lynch is the principal-in-charge, assuming primary responsibility for firm management and project coordination. His commitment to developing a quality product and delivering superior service has produced distinctive urban mixed-use projects.

Chryse Gibson joined Oaktree Development in 2010, bringing with her a unique blend of skills and expertise to support organizational development, finance, stakeholder relations, and business development. Gibson began her building career by earning her license as one of the first three women journeyman carpenters in New York City before entering a dynamic career with international organizations like OXFAM-Canada and Youth Challenge International, as well as founding the Women’s Future Fund.

Throughout the day, attendees can participate in our “off-the-record” sessions, a nothing-is-off-limits and thought-provoking conversation around the best solutions to reduce the rising cost of building and managing great walkable places as well as develop private sector-led, place-based tools to tackle issues like displacement, affordability, and social equity. This year’s “off-the-record” sessions will be led by the following:

Paul Morris, President and CEO Atlantic Beltline, is responsible for the development of the most comprehensive revitalization effort in the history of Atlanta and among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment and mobility projects in the United States. Trained as a landscape architect and urban planner, Mr. Morris has spent his 30-year career in strategic consulting and executive management roles focusing on transportation, urban redevelopment, natural resource management, public parks, and the development of corporate and institutional facilities throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
